Porcelain crowns

Sometimes a tooth needs extra protection and support. Dental crowns can repair and strengthen teeth that have been badly damaged by trauma or decay. After the affected portion of the tooth is removed, a custom crown can be placed over the remaining tooth to restore full form and function. All-porcelain crowns are incredibly natural looking and durable, offering long-lasting results with proper care. Dr. Schumacher has all crowns made by a local ceramist who has been practicing the art of fabricating crowns for several years. He and Dr. Schumacher create custom tooth color and characterization for each patient.

Bridges

Fixed dental bridges can be designed to replace a missing tooth. This type of restoration consists of a replacement tooth fused to dental crowns on both sides, securing the bridge in place. Fixed bridges offer improved stability and function when compared to removable tooth replacement options.
